Tatami is a traditional Japanese flooring mat made of quality rice straws. This is mini size of Tatami mat which is handmade. They are made of tightly woven rush grass with the edges hemmed with cloth. The edge cloth is called Tatami-beri which is very strong and light fabric. 

Japanese rice straw we use is from Kumamoto, Japan. It's 100% natural plants so color may be slightly different and also the color of straw will be turning green to gold, yellow, or beige etc..., so you can enjoy changing the color day by day.

They are really beautiful and neatly made!
You can use it for placing under the flower vase like photo and it's very gorgeous to place the mat under Japanese traditional doll such as Manekineko, Daruma, Kokeshi etc... . Also, you can use it as a tea surving tray.
