Sencha Loose Tea (Standard steamed), Ise Japan - most traditional

Sencha is a type of green tea which is fully sun-grown. It is the most common and popular variety of green tea in Japan. Sencha tea is categorized by the processing method, how long the tea is steamed for. This sencha is categorized Futsumushi (standard steamed) which shows thin needle shape and yellow green liquor.

Our Sencha is meticulously cultivated on small, family-owned  tea fields in Mie, Japan - a region known for high quality tea leaves. The tea fields are in a mountain area close to Ise Jingu where  the morning fog of river ‘Miya-gawa’ nurtures the young leaves. They served their hand-rolled tea in G7 summit 2016 which made the guests be surprized.

A key difference between Japanese green tea and other teas (black tea, Chinese green tea, etc..) is that Japanese tea leaves are steamed after being harvested. This steaming process make the most of the leaves  natural green color, clear taste and nutritional components are retained well.

This tea brings harmony of sweetness and umami taste, which maximize the fine aroma so it's less bitter taste and you can relax and refresh yourself. (But you can also taste more bitterness by brewing with higher temperature if you prefer it.) You feel various tastes of this tea depending on how you brew it, so you can enjoy it during lunch time, dinner time, exercise, whenever you want.
